Crick chuckled a little at what Alucard said before replying.
"Well, I honestly can't say I've had a whole lot of serious conversation with them. For the most part, they only talk about food and survival. I suppose my skills could be handy in certain situations...though mostly, I use it to help entertain myself and those who are my friends in here. No use in mulling about doing nothing when I can provide music, right?"
He thought a bit on what Alucard was saying about the wolf's song...it certainly intrigued him. He nodded before continuing.
"I would very much enjoy hearing this wolf's song you speak of, Alucard. It certainly sounds like it would be rather delightful to hear. Oh, looks like you're next in line...hopefully they have something you enjoy eating tonight. They tend to change around the menu on a daily basis, unless there's a lot of leftovers."
Crick would then wait for Alucard to pick and choose what he wanted before looking through the food himself...seeing that they didn't really have much he was in the mood for, he decided to simply go with a few pieces of the bread they had and the stew, getting the proper silverware for eating this meal as well as a napkin. Upon getting his food, he'd look for where Alucard was, and then attempt to find them a seat in the cafeteria area.
"Any questions so far, good sir? We can discuss whatever you feel curious about over this meal before the tour."

Alucard was certainly delighted that Crick wanted to hear the song, later he would try his best to remember the vocal coordination that was required for it.
"Yes it would be entralling, to perform on stage. Even if its only a small audience. Perhaps we could form a talent show. That way I can see these friends you speak of all in one place. And I would probably find questions if my stomach would stop providing statements."
He reviewed the samples of food before him, he immediately got his favorite portions. Meat and soup being among them with bread. He was not surprised not seeing any wine. After all, it was an asylum. He found tea however and that would suffice. As he strode down the aisles of cafeteria tables he found a nice secluded spot. Awaiting Crick's arrival, he surveyed his food which was 5x a normal humans portion. The moon always made him hungry. Even now, he could sense its overpowering musk. However, he would be patient. After all he had not such a pleasant chat since he spoke with one of the other noble house's sons. And he was five years old at the time...

As Crick sat down next to Alucard and began placing his napkin in his lap as mealtime etiqutte demands, he looked rather pleased at the prospect of a talent show. Thinking about it, it could be quite interesting to see what sort of talents people had.
"That's actually quite a splendid idea! Though, I imagine if we were to get access to a stage, we'd need to talk to the guards or someone who could arrange such a thing...barring that, we could always just hold it in the courtyard or some other such place. I'd be interested to see what sorts of talents others had...and it might help raise the spirits of some of the more depressed prisoners, too."
He then began eating his soup slowly, holding the spoon delicately between the pincers on his left arm. Surprisingly, he was actually quite adept at using silverware, considering that he had no fingers whatsoever. He did take notice of the amount of food Alucard had grabbed, and had to wonder why he was eating so much....but then, it was likely it had something to do with his own transformational capabilities.
"Well, do take your time in eating. I can see you're quite hungry...just make sure your stomach is satisfied, that's what's important, right? No use in starving ourselves when food is available for consumption."
With that Crick would proceed to eat himself, focusing on the stew more than the bread at this moment.

Alucard was marveled to see that Crick could use silverware quite well. He suspected that Crick had to practice before he could accomplish the feat. As Crick looked at his food, Alucard was done. Every plate scraped clean and not a stain anywhere.
After his meal he sipped on his tea, gesturing around him.
"So Serah how did you come by this mutation if that is what it is? Are there anymore who have the same condition regarding insectoid in this facility?

Crick was slightly astonished at how quickly Alucard had eaten in comparison to himself still only halfway done....if that. Dear goodness gracious, he ate fast. Crick then blinked a couple times before replying, though he did occasionally pause to take a bite...though, he took his time to make sure the food was swallowed before resuming speaking.
"Well....truth be told, I'm not entirely certain -how- I came to become this way. I just know what happened...and this was quite some time ago. All I really remember is one night, my college roommate was going to be out of town the weekend before finals in my last year. As I studied, I suddenly was overcome by a ravenous hunger...more than I had ever known. I must have eaten two...nay, perhaps three times my own body weight in food, if not more that night. I then promptly fell asleep on my bed...when I again woke up, I was confined...restricted in some unknown substance, in total darkness. I managed to break my way out, only to find that it was a cocoon of sorts...upon looking in a mirror, well...I had turned from a human into what you see before you. That's when the roommate returned, leading me to believe I was in the cocoon for about three days...roughly. I ran immediately. Thanks to...oh dear, I realize I forgot to mention one power I also have. I am much like a chameleon in that I can camoflauge flawlessly with my surroundings, along with anything I touch. Anyway, that along with my scent changing powers allowed me to elude this corporation's grasp until recently. That's my story in a nutshell."
By the time he had finished this explanation, he had finished his stew and all but one roll. He used this roll to gently soak up the remaining juices left in the stew bowl, making sure to not waste any of it. He then ate said roll before picking up the napkin in his lap, cleaning off first his pincers with it, and then dabbing around his mouth before placing the napkin with everything else that he was done with.
"As for anyone else being insectoid here...if there is, I am unaware of it. There are all other manner of furry, scaly, feathered, or other such beings though. Coincidentally, a furry little fellow named Fox is the primary friend I mentioned earlier. The others...well, I have yet to schedule with Fox a chance to meet as of yet, but he did mention they were all really friendly and would be welcoming enough."

After hearing of Crick's past and additional power, Alucard had to wonder... You do not undertake a change such as that without something causing. Sure you can be born with it, but that does not seem to be the case in Crick's predicament. It's a mystery for the humans to unravel no doubt, and Alucard would just leave it at that.
"Hmm that is an interesting past. I did not however run from this corporation as you did though. Is it so bad being here? I mean, where else would you do?
Then Crick mentioned a character named Fox, and he was intrigued. Perhaps this creature was just like him in some way...
"Is this 'Fox' person always in his form or can he change back like me?"

Crick took a sip of his own tea before speaking again.
"Well...to be honest I expected it to be worse than it really is. I figured I'd be locked up in a lab, constantly experimented on...and while I have heard stories of scientists doing experimentation, it's not always as frequent as I imagined from what I hear...nor is it focused on one individual."
He then drank a bit more tea as he listened to Alucard's quation about Fox. He chuckled a little before replying.
"Oh, I do believe he is of a race you likely haven't encountered....see, he's a little fox with purple fur and three tails. Very adorable little fellow, too. Really easy to like once you get to know him."
He then finished off his tea and awaited any further questions before rising out of his seat.
"Well then...shall we finish the tour? There's not really much left...mainly just showing you a place to try and stay away from, with what I hear. It's the place I hear mutants get taken to be experimented on...and it sure does look like a place that it would be used for. I do hope neither of us finds out what are behind those doors."

Alucard figured that there would be experimentation. After all humans were very curious, but then again he also was curious.
Then Alucard heard Crick mention that "Fox" had three tails. At that moment Alucard's tea glass shattered in his hand. Not out of anger, but one of surprise and his excitement got the better of him.
"I am dreadfully sorry but... did you mention that he had three tails ? My God it almost sounds like he is a Kitsune. "
He did not want to hope that his findings on folklore proved valid. If so, Crick's next answer would seriously change Alucard's perspective on the world. More so than usual. Alucard tried his best to regain his composure, but he was sure there was a little boy's joyous and expectant face that had appeared.

Crick jumped a little bit, having been startled by the breaking of the tea glass. Apparantly, several fellow prisoners nearby were surprised as well, since they had turned to look. Though Alucard did not appear angered....rather, he seemed to be brimming with an almost puppylike excitement. It was rather interesting, but Crick knew he had things he got that excited over himself. It appeared that Alucard's interests sounded like they fell under, at the very least, Japanese mythology. Crick tilted his head slightly as he responded.
"Well....he has three tails...and he mentioned that he was over two hundred years old. Oh, and he had little blue wisps of heatless fire floating around him, despite having a metal band on each of his tails. So...if that sounds like a kitsune to you, then yes, he quite likely is one. Perhaps you can ask him yourself once I introduce you."
Crick then stood up out of his chair, quite pleased that he seemed to be doing a good job at entertaining his new neighbor...or at the very least, aleviating some boredom. It was good for him, too, to get out of his room and stretch his legs. Overall, tonight seemed to be going quite well so far.

Alucard's eye became even wider at more of the evidence of what he knew. He pondered this development... If there is one, then there is more, but the legends mentioned mainly nine-tails. Also what was a Kitsune doing here? If the legends are correct then these beings were capable of redirecting the cosmos itself. If the corporation new how to tap into this power... the situation seemed daunting. He could only hope that the Kitsune was smart enough not to tell the corporation anything regarding his mythological powers or what he actually was capable of.
Alucard looked back up, and proceeded to follow Crick saying:
"By all means sir, lead the way." He said graciously
Post by Crick Watson on Nov 18, 2011 17:25:09 GMT -5
Crick would nod and then begin leading the way again. He wasn't really as nervous as he should be, if all the stories he has overheard are true. After all...he was showing Alucard where the main section was that prisoners got tortured the most. Well...so he had heard, anyway. He had never experienced it himself, so there was no way he could possibly know truly what was behind the doors.
"Well, as I mentioned, according to what I've heard, I'm going to be showing you an area to try and avoid. The scientists here, apparantly, tend to do experimentations...and also from what I hear, it's more for their own amusement more often than not. I have no way of sorting fact from fiction however, as I have never been experimented upon as of yet."
After a few moments, the two of them would be able to see a set of electronically sealed double doors...doors which no mutant would be able to pass through without scientist escort. Crick would motion towards the doors as he spoke.
"And here we are. The heart of this structure for the scientifically minded employees. With any luck, neither of us shall find out firsthand what horrors they might inflict upon the prisoners. I'd personally hate to find out that all the stories I've heard are completely accurate..."
Post by Alucard Seraphas Bucklin on Nov 18, 2011 20:52:22 GMT -5
Coming up to the scientific structure, Alucard could instantly smell the usual scents of torture, desperation, blood, etc. And quickly replied to Crick:
" I am afraid those rumors are right. I can smell the fear, the blood, the desperation. It's all there. I would hope that they do not bring me to this building without my consent. For they would see why they fear my kind so much. Then again, when you are being the prisoner it would be good to see the person who has imprisoned you in the first place."
Alucard had left unsaid that if there was anyone who would take his friends to such a place that they would also fear his bite. For he would leave a certain "impression" that they could not control him or take anyone hostage under his watch.

Crick's tone went from it's usual British perkiness to a more serious, somber one when he spoke. It was clear that he was not happy with what he heard, that he had been hoping for a more optimistic turn of information.
"Well...then if the stories are right, that means that this corporation is nothing more than a gigantic bully. I do sincerely hope that there are some employees that aren't so boorish, and who are more among the pleasant breed of people. I have heard of only one such employee thus far from Fox...he sees her as a mother figure, it seems. She actually saved him from being experimented upon, from my understanding."
He sighed, and began leading the way back to their hallway, his tone becoming more normal for him.
"Well...regardless, we're stuck here anyway. Better to focus on the brighter side of things in instances such as this, and not focus on the darker side of things. It is unfortunate indeed, but dwelling on the bad will only make things worse. Only in the worst of predicaments are you truly able to feel alive...as it forces you to appreciate the little things. Finding friends certainly helps quite a bit."
