Hallow laughed nervously, he had hoped she wouldn't react this way. But then again, who wouldn't freak out to such a question? It was so strange asking for blood, but it was necessary if he didn't want this damage to be permanent. And it did hurt quite a bit. He layed on the ground and began popping some of his limbs back into place, the ones that didnt need blood to heal. It didnt take too long to do, and he felt much better after fixing each limb in turn. But there was still the matter of his shoulder. "Well....I require blood to begin any amount of healing....so unless you have a pack of donated blood handy, I will either need some of yours or a guards" he informed, knowing she would probably not let him get blood from a guard, not that she could stop him in her current state. But, after what she did to get him out of the cell, he was obliged to listen to her.
In the meantime waiting for her answer, Hallow delved deep inside hi, searching to see if the effects of the electricity had worn off. They were almost gone, but still slightly present. It was an annoyance, but currently it made no difference. Both of them were in pain and exhausted, and the most they could do was simply lie there on the ground and relax. It wasn't too bad....better than being alone on his plastic bed.

At the thought of Hallow taking blood from a guard, the images of his last performance flooded Raisa's mind, and even the feathers in her hair stood on end. She couldn't let that happen. She may only have been a very small part human, but that small part still gave her humanity and a protective instinct for humankind. There wasn't really any choice; she'd have to let him.
For a brief moment, Raisa wondered if him biting her would turn her into the same thing he was, but shook the notion off. That was ridiculous - all nonhumans knew that. That was her human side showing through. Perhaps it wasn't such a small part of her after all. She almost made to ask Hallow if it would hurt, but decided that was equally as stupid. Of course it would hurt. He was going to bite her - how could it not?
"Al-alright." she stammered, suddenly feeling more than helpless still tangled in chains. "But... just, only what you absolutely need, okay? My body isn't normal. I have less in me, to make me lighter. I don't have as much blood as other creatures. Just... please be careful..." Raisa bit her lip and squeezed her eyes shut. Without even realizing she was holding her breath, she turned her head to the side and waited.
Hallow nodded silently in confirmation that he would be careful. It wouldnt be too hard, he knew exactly how much to take, and it was less than the average blood donation, so she would be fine afterwards. Still, it was weird. He had never bitten anyone who was a potential friend. bit there really was no harm in it other than the initial puncture of the fangs. Knowing it was best to get it over with, Hallow proceeded.
Rather than go for her neck, were the blood flow would be strong and hard to control, he lightly grabbed her forearm and lifted it toward him. It took him a few moments to locate a suitable vein, but once he spotted one he squeezed her arm slightly to alert her he was starting, as he allowed his fangs to extend out. Then, he quickly bent forward and pressed his fangs into her arm, already feeling the fresh flow of energizing blood, his own fountain of youth. His wound was healing quickly already, and he could even feel new life and power filling him, signaling he had taken enough. Smiling, he drew back just as he had taken out about half a pint, hardly any at all. He wrapped a length of cloth around the bit quickly and then tied it off before sitting up, feeling happy and quite awake. His wound was almost completely healed. "Thank you very much, that helped quite a bit. Now, shall I go fetch you a chair or would you rather just sit on me? I cant have you laying on the ground with those wounded wings" he suggested, not paying attention to what he had said.

Raisa was no stranger to pain. In fact, the times when her body was pain free she felt eerily uncomfortable and wondered what was wrong. Still, the feeling of his fangs in her arm as she voluntarily offered herself as prey was incredibly unnerving. Not only that, but she was deathly squeemish at the sight of blood. Her tail twitched, whip-like and skittish, and a low growl built in her throat. She knew he wasn't going to hurt her, but knowing that her own life force was being drained wasn't her idea of fun, either.
He let go of her arm, and she released the breathe she hadn't known she'd been holding. He offered to move her, and she laughed nervously. "Oh now, I uh, it's fine - I'm still all tangled, I don't think..." She couldn't easily be seated in a chair until she untangled herself, and right now she felt just a little too light headed from everything that had been occurring to even want to move at the moment. Not to mention after their recent predicament, close physical contact with him would probably just fluster her all over again.
"I just need to untangle my wings, I can move after that, but for now I just need to lie down for a minute." Raisa turned to him and tried to smile. As she did so, she caught sight of the make-shift tourniquet on her arm. A small bead of blood had dripped from underneath it and shone ruby red against her pale skin. Her head swam. "So thank you, Hal...low, but... I just want to... lay... dow-" The sight of the blood, she hated to admit to herself, had been too much in addition to everything else. Her hearing faded, her body became heavy, her sight blacked out, and she fainted.
"Oh jeez..." he muttered quickly as he watched her faint. He could see it coming even before it happened, the signs were clear, and the only thing he could do was allow it to happen. She was already on the ground, no "stopping her from falling", just hoping she woke up soon. It seemed like it was more of a mental reaction than a physical one, like lack of blood, so he guessed that would mean she wouldn't be out for long. But, he good alteast do some good with it. While she was out she wouldnt feel any pain at all. He got up and gazed over her entaglement, trying to think of a way to help her. Sitting back down next to her, he began trying to sort through the chains.
After a few moments he grunted in frustration, unable to find a way. Concentrated on the task of untangling her, he picked up her body and propped her back against his chest, stretching her wings out with his arms before wrapping his arms around to work with the chains. Her limp head tilted back on his shoulder as he folded chain over chain, trying to sort them all out. There was so many, and it was driving him crazy to the point that he couldn't concentrate on the new situation he had just put himself into.

It was only a temporary fainting spell, as it always had been when she saw blood. But it was still enough to make her weak and dizzy when she woke up. Until she figured out that she was vertical against Hallow, and much too close for comfort once again. In the split second it took for her to regain consciousness and figure out where and what was going on, and she freaked.
"Hallow! What-?!" She jumped away from him, her legs still feeling slightly like jelly and she stumbled slightly. He was touching her wings; something no one ever did. Something she never allowed, simply because they were her wings and her most sensitive part and hers alone. It was a security thing, more than anything else. And he was threatening that security. "Hallow, blood - that's one thing. Wings... no." She looked at him and the chains in his hands then down at herself. "I... oh."
Cheeks pink, Raisa fought against the chains, flicking and kicking, though getting untangled with relative ease. Cat-like flexibility near contortionism, she got herself out after a few moments, though not without battle scars. Her wings here sore, and she couldn't support their weight. They drooped heavily to the ground, dragging behind her; a less-than- flattering posture she never let others see. "Umm... thanks." She said meekly, ears and tail dropped as guiltily as her tail. She walked back into her cell dragging her chains behind her and flopped onto the lower bunk with a heavy sigh and pulled her wings in front of her, rubbing them gently and looking to see how bad the damage was.
Hallows cheeks turned slightly pink, ever so slightly at the realization at how he had Raisa positioned. There was enough blood still circulating to allow for embarrassment to show, and his mind quickly become nervous and unable to concentrate. She seemed to despise how he had touched her wings, though he had done it only briefly so that he could get to the chains. His intention had been to help her, though she didn't seem to enjoy much, even if she had said thanks. Her body language was obvious of that, as easy to read as if it were written in words. She was exhausted, and perhaps embarrassed. He sighed and cursed himself for having his mother's stubbornness, as got up and walked toward Raisa's cell, leaning against the entrance.
"I think its about time you got some fresh air, huh? You look like you could use it. What would you say if I knew a way to get you out into the courtyard for a bit?" he suggested with a smile, a small glimmer in his eye. She seemed exhausted, but fresh air and calming wind always helped him, perhaps it would help her too. His "method" involved teleporting her through a shadow with him into one of the available shadows in the courtyard. He had just enough energy for it, and it would let her "be free" while connected to her chains. The question was if she even had the will to get out of the bed. An idea came to him as he smiled.
"Or I could just sit right next to you on that bed with you and tend to those bruises" he added, almost sure that that would get her off the bed. After seeing her reaction when he tried to help her earlier, he was certain shouldn't wouldn't lay there while he almost did it again. It was a bit mean to use such a situation on her, but it would be worth it either way. He was just happy to be free of his electric cage, and the air of the prison had not gotten to him yet so badly that he needed the smell of nature.

Bone was bruised and splintering, but none had chipped where it lay bare against the shackles. That was good. As for the tissue around the shackled area, that was another matter. It would take a day or two for most of the pain to go away. Certainly not the worst situation by far - but still one she tried to avoid. She inspected her wings, pulling them in front of her and prodding through the feathers with her nails slightly extended, checking to make sure everything was where it should be, even if it wasn't healthy. "Touch me again and I'll claw your eyes out." she said, though it was obvious her heart wasn't in it - more of a response than an actual threat. She had been caught up on his other offer; the chance for her to go outside.
Four years had gone by since she'd been outside. Her cell was one of very few that actually had a window in it, specifically because of the cruelty she had to endure being captive in the prison for so long. It was the only bit of freedom she had. She'd watch birds and bats fly by and part of her soul would flit away with them, but that was all she could do. Imagine. And even then, it was almost too painful.
Raisa smiled, or she tried to. "No, thank you. I can't go outside. Even if you figured out a way. I can't. It's... tempting. Too tempting." She wanted to fly. She wanted to run through clouds and dance in the windstorms. Deprivation had left her so morose and depressed when she'd first arrived that she'd nearly died from it. Since then, she'd all but forgotten the stinging coolness of wind against her face, and feeling of it running through her feathers. She couldn't go outside without being torn apart again. "But at least one of us deserves that freedom, right?" She said, forcing herself to sound and look much happier than she actually felt. "You go, enjoy the night air. Tell me... tell me what it's like when you come back."
He had not expected her to refuse his offer, nor the out-right threat on if he touched her again. All his attempts at helping instantly smashed, leaving him confused and clueless at to what to do next. But he knew when to stop, when pressing forward was pointless. This was one of those times, it seemed. He sighed and shook his head, exiting her cell. "It's much too boring to describe the outside in words, you should know that. Plus, if I can conserve the energy for other things, I will." he replied plainly, his sign that he refused to go outside unless she accompanied him.
He breathed deeply as he walked to the door of his own cell, the electric door. He was tempted to go back inside, but that would be outright rude after the pain that Raisa had gone through to get him out. Still, it was tempting to just go back in, to welcome the solace it would provide. He frowned and turned, gazing about for a good spot to perch. A steel beam just overhead of their nice little corner caught his eye, and he gracefully jumped up and caught the beam, pulling himself up into a sitting position. It offered him a view of several hallways, while remaining hidden from prying eyes. It also kept him away from the gaze of Raisa, something at the moment he was glad off. He turned slightly and rested his back on the vertical column that went through the beam, and was happy to be in darkness rather than the bright cell for now. He was in no mood for words now, just thoughts. Many, many thoughts. He wondered how many times he would find himself perched on this beam in the coming year.

Raisa was aware of Hallow hiding up in the rafters, and was not entirely amused. She rolled her eyes and sighed, and went back to her wings. When she was satisfied they weren't going to snap in two, she began cleaning up her mess. The chains were untangled, at least, but that didn't make them any lighter. She struggled for several moments hauling the masses of gold back into their secret compartments and locking them in place.
After, she jumped lithely into her top bunk, sitting cross legged, back straight, looking out the window. Hallow mentioned the outside world. Outside. Dammit, now it was all she could think of. Her eyes stung with a childish mix of frustration and desire, hating how unfair her life had become, and wishing there was some way she could miraculously change it by stomping her feet and throwing a fit.
"You know, I didn't get you out of there just so you could sit in the ceiling and hide." She said, more monotone than she would have liked, though unable to do anything about it. "Isn't there anything you want to do now that you're out? Take advantage of the time you have now before things get worse. I passed up my opportunity to that - I'd hate for you to do the same."
Hallow rolled his eyes at her statements, now more tempted than ever to walk into his cell and just sit there, just piss Raisa off. But he still would not do it, for as much as he wanted to, it was much more calming sitting just where he was. He loved the solitude, the quietness of it, the shadows all around him. It made him feel less out in the open, less opened up to the world, not quite as weak. And here was Raisa suggesting he go do something, sacrifice that great feeling just after she had done the same. Yet, he was forced to ponder if there actually was something he could do. The idea was enticing.
Then he remembered his plan to escape, to not stay here, to always be rebellious, then he remembered the pain of the electric cell, the lack of blood, the pain of having no healing. He realized what he could do, though it wouldn't take long at all. But, it would be a good use of this time now, for preparation later. "You know, that might be a good idea actually. I'll be right back, I feel like doing some shopping" he said with a wink. It was shopping if you considered shopping obtaining a bulk amount of one item, for free. He hopped down lithely from the beam and walked out of their corner, using what energy he had to summon shadows around him. They provided him cover, and the ability to teleport. Within seconds he was gone in a puff of black smoke.
A few minutes passed, then several. After about fifteen minutes had gone by, Hallow reappeared in another puff of smoke, in the shadowy corner with arms full of bags. He was out of breath and exhausted from the multiple teleportations, but had succeeded in his goal. He dropped the bags to the floor and out poured dozens of bags of "donated" blood. There was a lot there, and he knew none of it would be missed. The asylum kept many bags of blood on stock for their experiments and any possible medical "emergencies", but so far they almost never used them as they usually elected to allow a prisoner do die rather than use "precious resources" on them. So, he could make use of these resources, each bag like a shot of adrenaline for him. He eyed them hungrily. "Well, mission accomplished" he noted.

As Hallow left, Raisa twitched her wings around her, blocking him from view. Perhaps he wasn't quite as appealing as she'd thought.
The time was passed twisting her silky tail between her fingers and concentrating on not looking out the window. Raisa slowly began hating Hallow for mentioning the outside world that she was forever forbidden from seeing again. She supposed that it wasn't really Hallow's fault that all these feelings were bubbling up inside of her again, but he was still a catalyst. Whether she thought it mature or not, she harbored some resentment for him then. She figured she'd get over it... eventually.
A metallic spice stung the air, and Raisa crinkled her nose. Blood. And cold blood, at that. She didn't need to look to see that Hallow had returned. Now she put together the blood with his mention of "shopping" and grimaced. It was a sick twist. She looked at the tourniquet with new disgust. "Good, now you won't have to bite me anymore after I voluntarily shred my wings for you." Snarky, though appropriate in her mind.
Hallow really did not know what to think of Raisa, but her last comment seemed to push him over the edge. He was done using her "gift" of being free from his cell, it was time to go back in. He couldn't stand listening to her anymore. He wanted quiet, peace....to not be a walking dead creature hated by all for instincts he could not control. But right now what he really, really wanted was blood. And it was staring right at him. So enticing, so....addictive. He could not resist the smell any longer as he picked up 2 bags and punctured them with his nails, drinking both down like they were a can of soda. He instantly felt the adrenaline, drug-like effects as all his wounds healed, his skin colored and his muscles tensed. He smiled, feeling powerful, as he eyed the electric doorway. He stepped through it without so much as a tingle, the energy passing harmlessly through his blood-filled body.
He got up on the plastic bed quickly, eye-balling the hand made pillow that had been given to him. He was not sure how quickly the electricity would begin to affect him again, and he didnt want to find out. And as for the pillow...he didn't know what to do. It was soft and enticing, like the blood which he had allowed himself to consume. And yet, this object he had a stronger urge to resist simply because its giver was knowingly trying to anger him. "Well, it was sooo nice meeting you. I suppose I will get to see that face of your in a few months, until then I doubt many words will be coming from me." He said, obvious sarcasm in his voice as he closed his eyelids and welcomed the darkness that they brought him.

Raisa sighed, completely defeated. If Hallow was going to act so childishly, then she really had no reason to continue to try to make peace with him. Still, she was stung with the lost prospect of a new friend...
With all of her expressing grief and frustration - human, cat, and hawk alike - she turned away from Hallow, curled in on herself, and tried to ignore the faint throbbing in her wings and fall asleep.
