Fox's ears twitched constantly as he walked down the halls, catching snatches of conversation without really meaning to. He couldn't help but hear things with those massive ears of his. It made him a little sad that most of the things he heard were comments about his appearance. It wasn't like he could help how he looked, and he rather liked his own looks. Truth be told he found most of the so called 'normal humans' like the guards and such to be the most freakish looking in his own opinion.
As he walked several small orbs of what looked like blue flames seemed to bob and float around him. The 'fox-fire' as most of the humans dubbed the lights, seemed to keep anyone from trying to hurt him. He didn't know why there were so scared of the lights, as he found them quite comforting. The little things looked like fire but didn't put off any heat so he didn't see how they could hurt anyone. While it was nice that he didn't have to worry about anyone attacking him due to the little orbs, it also seemed to keep anyone that might befriend him away as well. That was sad, and made his stay rather lonely. In fact he hadn't even made any friends yet, which was rather depressing. The only friends he had was the small army of stuffed toys back in his rooms.
His tails flicked about in a slightly annoyed manner as he wished that he could make some new friends. The swishing causing the metal rings around the base of his tails to clang together audibly. He winced a little, hating that particular noise. He really wished that the humans hadn't insisted on such peculiar jewelry for him, and not understanding that those rings were made to keep his powers in check. At least they didn't try to make him wear shoes... he hated those horrible 'foot cages' as he had dubbed them. He wiggled his clawed toes happily, liking the feeling of the cool metal of the floor touching the pads on his feet.
"Why won't anyone even talk to me? These strolls would be so much nicer if I had someone to chat with." He lamented to himself, barely speaking above a whisper. He let out a sigh and continued on with his little walk.
