Full Name: Seran Adelia Requieana
Age: Chronologically: 169 (Appearance wise: 26)
Gender: Female
Group: Prisoner (Mutant)
--Sub-Group: Mythenos
Played-By or anime img:
Height: 5'6
Weight: 143 lbs
Special Characteristics: Her skin is a pale gray to purple hue with the texture of porcelain or silk, though it fails to refract light even under the brightest and most intense conditions giving it no sheen but a dull opaque look.
Her eyes glow an ominous red and stare wildly, never blinking giving her an unnaturally cryptic gaze with her expressions being completely meaningless as she is mute.
The scars near the edges of her mouth were self-inflicted in a futile attempt to break her silence when her voice was gone and will bleed as if freshly made anew when she is excited in some manner. Her hair is woven of dirty blond strands that are parted chaotically across her face into 3 bangs. The back of which is cut short revealing another set of scars that runs the length of her spine. All of her scars will fade in time, but are usually re-opened on a day to day basis in a ritualistic manner.
She communicates through the use of writing upon parchment and through the use of a quill made of obsidian. The quill draws ink by carving into one of her veins and thus she writes all her messages from her own blood. The pages of the parchment she uses are actually made from layers of skin she has ripped off herself.
She insists when others are attempting to commune with her to draw upon her blood directly from her veins for ink and would be offended if they were to refuse such an offer.
She stores all recorded message logs in a large tome she hangs on a chain strapped across her should extended down to her waist in a diagonal fashion. It is surprisingly well-maintained and neatly cut in spite of the composition of the materials that formed it.
General Description: She was not born a mortal being if 'born' was what you could describe her as. Originally a soul destined to become a spirit to serenade the spirits of the dead into the afterlife, Seran was torn away from her fate and remade anew by a terrible cataclysm as the folds of reality buckled and cracked around her when the appointed spirit deciding her purpose was struck down... Her voice lost forever without an explanation as to why, she raged and screamed in the prison of her mind. Tearing away at her own body just so she could provoke a cry, a scream, something to remind her of the beautiful voice she once held: she was driven almost onto the verge of insanity until she found solace in her newfound silence... A silence that should never be broken in her presence.
Average Clothing: She adorns herself in a style akin to the court jester's attire, sporting a pronged hat and wygar. Her preference in colors divided between reds, blacks, and whites. Though usually the tassels of the hats would be bells, they were instead replaced with a ruby and shard of obsidian carved into the shapes of an Angel and a Demon. A Woman and and Man respectively...
Likes: Silence (Generally), Non-Vocally Derived Music, Art (Illustrations and Sculptures), Literature & Reading, Pain
Dislikes: Vocalizations, Religious/Spiritual Exaltation, Physical Contact, Loud/Obnoxious Noises, Confined Spaces
Strengths:
Divine Origins: Her body despite appearing frail and meek is deceptively strong and quick. More importantly, she is indestructible and incapable of being mortally wounded, a fact she uses to abuse herself on a day to day basis. Barring divine intervention she is virtually immortal by conventional means.
Experienced: In the time she has spent she has borne witness to the life-times of mortals and gained an understanding of how they work and think. As a result she also know best how to get what she wants out of them and can draw upon this experience to manipulate them.
Musical Prodigy: Despite the loss of her voice after the destruction of her spiritual creator, her acute sense of musical harmony has remained intact. Thus she is capable of composing and practicing music of an otherworldly standard.
Weaknesses:
Mute: She is completely incapable of making any vocalizations even those derived from pain or suffering. This also contributes to her hatred for those who still have the gift she was denied and as such, strives to maintain a semblance of silence so as not to remind her of this fact.
Masochistic: Though the self-mutilation and pain she inflicted upon herself initially to provoke a sound was ultimately futile, she has grown accustomed or more accurately started to enjoy the suffering physically she subjects herself to. Due to her immortal body, the scars she makes are never permanent, nor can her life be put in mortal peril. This disturbing habit makes others shun her presence as she tends to bleed profusely when excited, adding to her intimidation factor.
Claustrophobic: Immortal entity or not, she has a fear of being trapped. This could be attributed to the confinement she experienced on a mental level when her voice was stripped of her, but this also applies on a physical level as well. This also contributes to the extreme avoidance of direct contact being made by others and will in all likelihood provoke the use of her powers if she is put into a state of fear or panic.
Skills/Powers:
Localized Reality Manipulation (Spatial):
Seran's abilities can be defined as a distortion of reality as she bends the laws of physics and time to her will. This is generally characterized by the use of invisible objects but she can also generate phenomena such as temperature modifications and even gravity, all of which are undetectable by conventional means but still react in similar manners.
This ability therefore bypasses conventional means of control over her powers as the phenomena she desires will occur regardless of what properties restraints may be used on her, though their effects may be mitigated to a minor degree. The limitation to this power is up to her imagination, though she could potentially cause infinite destruction through the use of black holes or singularity charges if she so desired...
General Personality:
Psychopathic: As a result of her loss in life early on, she has come to see other mortal beings as being less than worth her time. Though not truly malicious, her apathy makes her capable of horrific and cruel acts against those she feels animosity towards.
Sadism: This only extends towards those she happens to find unworthy of their 'gift'. And by gift she means their voice. The grating sounds of their undisciplined and disharmonious intonations rake against her mind and sanity. Thus she would rather hear them use their voices to make cries of anguish rather than them sullying the beauty that voices should carry.
Insecure: The loss of her voice also shattered any self-confidence and belief in herself. She lives only for her music now as she cannot die and abuses herself as 'punishment' for having been so weak as to lose her voice...
Mother: Non-Applicable
Father: Non-Applicable
Siblings: Non-Applicable
History: Seran is at heart a little girl. She has dreams, she has hopes, and she has fears. The loss of her voice was a crushing blow. One she never believed she could recover from. And one she that has seeded in her heart a deep seated hatred for the entity that destroyed her creator. His laugh... The gratingly corrosive death rattle of an archdemon. The entity that struck down the archangel of music...
With the archangel's demise came with it her voice. The music she had yet to sing, the purpose for which she aspired to, longed for... No. Lived for was stripped of her.
Lying in anguish alone in the prison of her mind, she raged, and she screamed. Yet no one and nothing could hear her. Her voice was truly gone. This revelation frightened her and drove her to seek a means to find a compromise between the lonesomeness of her eternal silence and hatred for the vocalizations of the fortunate.
Music... It lived in her. It breathed into her and gave her new life to carry on.
For years she wandered as a travelling minstrel, never breaking her silence, only playing her serenades written in blood she carved from her own veins. Until she was finally found by the Asylum and detained.
The confrontation to confine her to the Asylum for her did not resolve without casualties. Many personnel of the Black Rose Corporation were killed in action before she was able to be negotiated with...
Now in the Asylum she continues to practice her craft in the cold, dead silence of her newfound 'home'.
Other/Notes: If you have applied and been accepted for a canon position, state so here.
Preferred Prisoner Number: M013
