As Malcomb entered the expensive looking classroom, he took in a deep breath. No matter what school you go to, theirs that classroom smell that Malcomb knows and loves. He had several hours before his homeroom class would start. He spent this time preparing the material before his class on which he would lecture. As well as decorating his classroom with more of a homely attire. Expensive looking is one thing, but statistics say that students learn more if they feel the same comfort that they would at their house. He would put in a couch later for those that were more interested in that comfort, but for now this will have to do. He covered some of the bare walls with some of his baseball heroes as well as his favorite team: The Texas Rangers. As the time for class was near he settled his time reviewing the roster of which students that were more threatening than others as well as which students to look out for both conduct and non-assuming. He did hope that at least some would take their time to come to learn something.
Kit was particularly bummed today. They had awaken her from a nice cat nap to go to another class. She wasn't too excited about it, to the point that everything the guard told her about the class went in one ear and out the other, except the location. After dragging herself through the hallways, Kit soon found herself standing at the doorway to her designated class. Reluctantly, she peered in to see if anyone else was there. The feline hesitated to enter seeing that she had gotten there a bit earlier than the others. Humbly, she entered the room, avoiding eye contact with the teacher, her mind filled with defeat. She made her way to a seat closest the door and sat down quietly awaiting any others before class began.
Malcomb saw his first visitor a human...no it was a cat...wait that was not quite right either. However the sheer cuteness was staggering. He almost clutched his heart it was so cute. Malcomb shook his head clearing the spell. He used to have pet cats before but this was too much. He went to review his notes of the students he was liable to see and from further review Malcomb definitely thought this was "Kit Munisworth" prisoner number G723. Not a very dangerous student, but his time with his own cats made him know that those claws would hurt. Malcomb waited until he would see any additional students.
Fox trotted down the hall, his padded feet making barely a noise. He hadn't been to this wing of the asylum much at all, in fact he'd only been to one class in over two decades. It wasn't that he was lazy or didn't want to learn, it was that he simply wasn't allowed to attend classes till recently. Somehow Fox had obtained another class he could attend, though Fox thought it might have something to do with Marisa pulling some strings for him. Whatever the case may be, Fox was eager to learn.
He looked at the little slip of paper in his paw-like hand. All it had was a room number on it. Fox then checked the door in front of him. Sure enough the numbers on the door matched the ones on the slip of paper. With a grin and a wag of his tails he opened the door and peeked inside.
"Hello? Is this the new class?" Fox asked a bit nervously, still not quite sure how to act inside a classroom. That nervousness left him instantly though when he spotted Kit inside. "Oh hi Kit!" Fox called out cheerfully as he came into the class and trotted up the cat girl, giving her a hug. The little purple kitsune was totally oblivious to the teacher at this point, and was instead just happy to see a friend in the class.
Kit's ears perked up towards teh door as it opened, "Fox?" she muttered, shocked, under her breath as he entered. Her face otherwise emotionless besides her wide eyes, she watched the kitsune as he neared. Squeezing her eyes shut, Kit returned the hug, feeling more confident now that a friend would be here. Still not so excited for class to begin, she was certainly less nervous. The feline wanted to speak, but she didn't know what to say. The classroom environment caused her to stiffen with dread, making her forget other emotions despite the comfort Fox's presence provided. She simply sat there, not moving a muscle like prey knowing it's being watched.

Crick began to wonder upon which impulse he had decided to attempt returning to class...perhaps it was to help him feel a bit more normal. Then again, it might actually help him in getting a few friends...he always did have rather good note and test taking skills. He certainly hoped that pencils and paper would be provided. The corporation didn't really do a good job in providing a lot of things, however, so he didn't have his hopes up. As he held the peice of paper telling him which room to go to, he wondered just what classes were like in this place. He had experiences with rather poor teachers before, and he hoped that this wasn't the case this time. Regardless, it gave him something to do other than sit in his room or stroll about...so it's not like he could really complain.
It took him several minutes to find the room. Oh, he certainly hoped he wasn't late. He always did pride himself on punctuality. He slowly folded the paper and pocketed it, surprisingly adept despite his pincers he had for hands. He then opened the door and peeked in, speaking with his heavy British accent.
"Hello? I do believe this is the room I was directed toward...I do hope I am not late."
He then took in the surroundings, firstly noting the decor. It did not seem too dreadful...in fact, it looked a bit more cozy than most rooms he had seen in this place so far. That was a bit pleasing. He actually did recognize some of the baseball related stuff, as his old roommate had been heavily into sports. Texas Rangers, was it? Yes that seemed correct. He himself was able to somewhat enjoy baseball...more so than football by far.
He then took note of the teacher himself. He certainly did look as a professor should, that was for certain. He looked like he had seen quite a few years, but Crick could tell he was a tough fellow. He just had that look about him. He gave a friendly wave to the teacher before taking note of the other two in the room. A catlike girl he had not seen before...and Fox, who was hugging her. He spoke quite cheerfully towards him and gave a wave to the furry little fellow.
"Well, I do say, this is quite a pleasant surprise! How are you doing this fine day, Fox? It's good to see you again, good fellow!"
A cat, a fox, and a...insect? Malcomb fought the need to go to his bat signed by Nolan Ryan, the ceo of the the Texas Rangers. It was encased in a glass rectangle with the words that said, "Break in case of strikes". But he did not dare, it would destroy his first meeting, and looking closely Malcomb could tell their was not a malignant bone in this individual's body. The top hat and British decor helped as well. The one that looked like a fox however provided some startling insight though. on what was or was not true about mythology. Looks like Japanese mythology had some insight.
He answered to the insect: " Yes come in come in. No one is late on the first day, at least not in my class. We will begin after some time has passed, as I am waiting for anyone else to come."
Now that Malcomb had regained his composure he defended his brain in the event he saw anyone else that looked in the bizarre.

Well, she had been here for nearly a year. And this was the first time that BeeJai was asked to join classes. What exactly happened during classes? What stuff would she learn that she did not already know? “Heh…” She said in a whisper as she then continued her walk down the hall. Today, she wore her usual wear; a black silk dress with white trimming and simple ballet like shoes the same matching color. Her long, flowing jet-black hair was cascading down her back over her folded black wings. It shined in the light of the hall.
She had left the paper that had the classroom number on it in her…”room” but that was not a problem. In fact, she had a good memory so she glanced up and down the hall with her amethyst colored eyes until she reached a room where the numbers matched what she remembered. After taking a deep breath, she reached for the doorknob, grasping it in her delicate fair colored skin hand as she turned the knob and opened the door.
As BeeJai entered the room, she glanced all around, not sure what else she should do, she did not know anyone in this room, well…besides Crick. She then would move to walk to a seat in the far back away from everyone else, her steps graceful and elegant. As she slowly would sit down, placing her hands on the desk, she would cross her left leg over her right and let her gaze fall to the desk. She remained this way for the time being. Not letting her gaze look anywhere else for the moment.
When was the last time she even went to a classroom? Probably when she was alive the first time; long ago back when Queen Elizabeth reigned. That was a very long time ago. A silent sigh escaped her paled lips as she then would lean back in her seat, crossing her arms gently over her chest, though her gaze never moved beside that now it was looking down at her lap.
Fox was still hugging Kit when Crick came in, causing Fox's ears to twitch as he recognized that familiar accent. Even though he'd only met Crick once, they'd become friends pretty much instantly. Fox moved to stand beside Kit, keeping one arm on her shoulders while he used his free hand to wave at Crick.
"Hi Crick! It's nice to see you again." Fox said with his usual sugary attitude. Then he seemed to realize that Kit hadn't met Crick yet and decided to introduce them. "Kit, this is Crick. He's really nice and has a wonderful singing voice. Crick, this is Kit. She's really nice!" Fox didn't seem to even remember that there was a teacher in the room as he was overjoyed to be with two of his friends. He was reminded that there was indeed another person in the room however when the teacher told Crick that no one was late on the first day.
"Hi teacher." Fox said in a somewhat more subdued tone. His recent run in with Strages had left him more wary than usual of the Black Rose employees...except Marisa who he still saw as a bit of a mother figure. The foxfires that always accompanied him bobbed about lazily in the air above him, then suddenly flared up for a split second as the door opened again.
The kitsune's eyes went to the door as he watched a girl come in and seemingly ignore them all before going to sit at the back of the class. He tilted his head to one side in a bit of a confused manner, not sure what to think of her yet. The fact that she had wings was intriguing though. Deciding that it would be rude not to greet her, he shouted out a welcome. "Hi new girl! I like your wings! My name's Fox, what's your name?" He was smiling again, waving at her in a friendly manner.
Kit was too frozen in place to care about what else was happening in the room until Fox moved. She turned to look at the person who greeted, noting the accent, one that was familiar to her, but she had only heard two people from her past with such an accent. The form was very off, however, as he looked more like a giant insect. I'll never eat grasshoppers again... she thought to herself as she looked up at the man. "H-hello..." she greeted Crick, somewhat nervously, unsure how to act. Her curiosity broken by another entrant who seemed rather uninterested. This wasn't suprising considering the circumstances, but the girl's wings intrigued Kit. I guess I should lay off the birds, too... she pondered, tilting her head as she unintentionally stared at the girl. "It's a good thing there are no more than rats to hunt here..." she mentioned aloud without realizing, not knowing if she would be heard.
So in total his class today would accumulate a cat, fox, insect, and a...he could only think angel. Hmm quite the colorful class he had today. When the fox came up to him and said hi, he immediately became that what he was here for. To teach. He responded to the fox: " Well hello to you too."
After his allotted time limit was up he clapped his hands to get there attention in a more musical fashion. Demonstrating that he required their attention and this was the signal. He began, "Hello class, as I am sure some of you know that I am your homeroom teacher. Part of today is finding out your level of knowledge, so at first if your ahead of the class in say mathematics, then bear with me and I'll quickly find something that will suit your level of skill. But for now let us first introduce ourselves. I will start myself, so do not be shy. My name is Mr. D, I have had experience teaching children of all ages from preschool to collegiate. I spent some of my life in the Vietnam war. " and as he said that, he knocked on his knee creating a dull metal sound. he continued with a mirthful smile, "and as a result I learned that it would be more contributing to my lifespan to make my career in teaching students."
After that he gestured to the cat for her to begin her introduction.

He gave a smile to Kit as she said hello...she seemed a little shy. He tipped his hat to her as he spoke.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, Miss Kit. I hope that everything is going well....well, considering our circumstances, anyhow. Regardless, it is nice to finally meet one of Fox's friends. He has nothing but good things to say about any of you, and I look forward to chatting with you more."
He then turned his attention as BeeJai entered the room. He gave another smile and a friendly wave as well as a tip of his hat to her as well.
"A pleasure to see you again, Miss BeeJai. I hope things have been well since I saw you last. Good to see you here, though!"
It was about this time that the teacher went to grab everyone's attention. Crick chose a seat more in the center of the room, so he was equally close to all his classmates. He then listened to the teacher speak...oh dear, he had been in war? Nasty business, that. He was glad though that this teacher seemed friendly enough. He certainly hoped this meant that this class was going to be pleasant enough. He looked towards Kit expecantly, quite eager to learn more about everyone here.

Kit jumped back in her seat, arms stretched out straight in front of her. Why is he pointing at me? she thought to herself, ears up and eyes wide open as she stared at the man blankly. Everything he had said sounded foreign to her as if she had never seen a day outside this horrid prison. She felt she should know at least something, at least why he was pointing to her, but was consumed by an overpowering feeling of losing herself. Tears threatened to leave her eyes, but the cat had no use for them and they subsided without notice even to herself. Finally, the feline thought it best to just ask, "Why are you pointing at me?" lowering her ears back as she did, nervously awaiting what was to come.
"Hmm it seems that Ms. Munisworth does not understand." Turing his head around the classroom, Malcomb noticed that the insectoid-looking student seemed to pay more attention. He looked up the many names and characteristics on his clipboard. Gesturing to the insectoid. He said," Perhaps you could help shed a little light on saying introductions"

Crick nodded slightly at the teacher's request before replying.
"Certainly, good sir."
He then cleared his throat a bit before speaking.
"I am Crick Watson. I was born and raised in Britain, but came to America to attempt to get the best education I possibly could. The week before finals on my last semester, however, is when I ended up transforming from a human into what you see now."
He paused a moment before continuing, allowing people to study him if they wished. He didn't really mind nor did he truly care.
"As such...I was on the run for a while, as well...humans find me a freak, needless to say. I think my roommate may have soiled his drawers upon seeing me when he returned. I believe I was running for...about twenty years or so, give or take a year or two. However, one night not too long ago I slipped up and had a few too many...so this company caught me, fair and square. So...here I am. Things I enjoy...well, I really enjoy theatre and classical music. That's about it, unless there's any specific questions...?"
He looked towards the teacher as he left that question hanging, though clearly he left it open to anyone who wanted to ask anything.
