We all have wondered what the world would be like if there were mutants, people who had evolved far beyond the capabilities. Its easy to see how a hatred would grow between that of mutants and humans....but what if the humans struck first? What would happen if a group of humans got to the still developing mutants before they even realized what they were? Science would skyrocket, technology would develop...and the existence of "The Screaming City" would be brought about. Welcome to Asylum 39, prison for the strange.
A corporation known only as Black Rose has been, for many years, putting Asylums all across the globe in both small towns and major cities. They come in, take over the economy, gain the trust of the people, and then put in their mysterious Asylums....cities full of screams where people without names or faces go in, and no one is ever seen going out. In these underground cities, Black Rose has taken it upon themselves to capture as many mutants as they can and lock them up, study them, learn from them so that they can stop their existence. With Black Rose's teams of mutant hunters, and groups of scientists who are top in their given fields, its easy to see how no group of mutants was ever able to form a resistance. But what about those inside the Asylums?
Inside these prisons, the mutants are studied, abused, experimented on, and even sold as fighters or slaves. The social ladder is confusing, rigid, and deadly. Yet try as they might, the Black Rose and the rest of the humans cannot contain everything about these Mutants. Their instincts are beginning to rise up, the urge to be free is coming forth. Once afraid of who they were, now these mutants have turned from fear to rage on their captors. What will happen here at Asylum 39? Will the animals that have been captured finally break free?
