History: Veronika's mother was young and rich, full of life and laughter. She had met Nickolas, a young man with Russian heritage, at barely 15. When she turned 18, she realized she was pregnant with Nickolas's child, so off they went to get married. They gave birth to a very, very unstable little girl.
The baby seemed fine, until she was six months old. Her mother had just lost both of her parents in a plane crash while they were on their way to see their grand daughter, Veronika. Poor Anna was both miserable and anxious at the same time, eager to move into the grand estate and mourning over her loss. As she went to reach the baby, she herd a terrible wail as soon as she stepped near the crib. The poor darling had just been terrified by the house cat, supposedly. In reality, it was the beginning of the development in her power.
As the toddler grew into a kinder gardener, her teachers noticed that she was unstable. She rarely socialized with others her age, and stood off to the side of the playground. She seemed distracted in class, and never payed attention. So, Mrs. Shura pulled her daughter out of public school and began teaching her by herself. It was a rather happy childhood that she had, fun and spoiled rotten, getting almost everything she ever wanted. She was even given a credit card at the age of 7, and allowed to chose her own clothes.
It was only at age 13, when Veronika started to go to crowded malls and movie theaters that she realized what was happening. In horror movies, she laughed while it was something she would never do, and she did it because the man next to her found it funny. She gained massive headaches in crowds, feeling a mix of every emotion imaginable.
She was 15 when her parents had taken her to a mental facility. The man recommended a place called "Asylum 39." Her parents had heard of that place before. They had gained many, erm, "helpers" there. They would not let their daughter become one of them. So, they ran off from the truth, Anna driving to insanity like her daughter. Unfortunately, she had suicidal thoughts, which only gave he daughter those same feelings, but there was one difference between Anna and Veronika: Anna went through with it.
It scared Veronika, scared her badly. She was led to believe it was her fault by her own father, so she ran away. She was sitting in the alleyway, crying, when she felt an emotion... Adrenaline. The anticipation of a fight. She was too scared, too... aware of what it was to look up. She let it out, swung, missed, felt a hit on her side. She was pushed against a wall, and felt someones fist give her a good, deep gash above her eye. Stupid rings.
Next thing she knew, there she was, in the horror chamber known as Asylum 39.
